pada tanggal 17 Juli 2010 sekitar pukul 7 pagi dilakukan restart server dikarenakan masalah power/listrik di datacenter. Berikut petikan email dari datacenter kami:

Hello – there was a major power failure at the datacenter when one of the 20 ton A/C units blew a compressor. This resulted in a short circuit which pulled down the entire building+backup power. Some circuits extended the duration of their UPS backup systems – such was the case with your server. Emergency techs rerouted power and brought the building back online and a second tech team is finishing repair work on the A/C units. We’re sorry for the unexpected outage.

I. Recompilation psyBNC
1. change directory to your psybnc; type: cd psybnc
2. remove old psybnc binary; type: rm -f psybnc
3. remove old static library; type: make clean
4. recompile your new psybnc binary on 64 bit platform; type: make
5. run your psybnc; type: ./psybnc

Now you can use your psyBNC using same port, same ident, and same password as previously.

II. Recompilation eggdrop
In this guidance, I assume your eggdrop directory is eggdrop under your username, if your eggdrop directory is custom name, eg. myeggdrop please make sure to associate that with this guide.
1. change directory to your eggdrop directory; type: cd eggdrop
2. check your previous eggdrop version; type: ls -l eggdrop
for eggdrop version 1.6.19, it will look like below:
lrwxr-xr-x 1 KalpinBot KalpinBot 14 May 15 2009 eggdrop -> eggdrop-1.6.19
for eggdrop version 1.6.18, it will look like below:
lrwxr-xr-x 1 KalpinBot KalpinBot 14 May 15 2009 eggdrop -> eggdrop-1.6.18
3. change directory to your home directory; type: cd
4a. if your old eggdrop is version 1.6.19, then type: cp -Rp /usr/src/eggdrop1.6.19 eggdrop1.6.19
4b. if your old eggdrop is version 1.6.18, then type: cp -Rp /usr/src/eggdrop1.6.18 eggdrop1.6.18
5. change directory to your eggdrop source which you copied above; type:
cd eggdrop1.6.18 (for version 1.6.18) OR
cd eggdrop1.6.19 (for version 1.6.19)
6. configure your eggdrop to use your old eggdrop config/scripts; type: ./configure –prefix=$HOME/eggdrop
if your old eggdrop directory is mybot, replace it with that name, see below:
./configure –prefix=$HOME/mybot
7. recompile it now; type: make config && make && make install
8. if success, you can now run your eggdrop with old config/scripts/master bot

Thank you

1. Login ke server, atau hubungi staff kami jika Anda hanya menyewa psyBNC Admin/user
2. masuk ke direktory psybnc Anda.
contoh: cd psybnc
3. Ketik: make clean && rm -f psybnc
4. Ketik: make
5. Jalankan psyBNC Anda: ./psybnc

Dengan langkah-langkah diatas, psyBNC Anda akan berjalan dengan config yang sama, password yang sama. Jika Anda memiliki psyBNC user, maka mereka akan tetap bisa menggunakannya.

As topic above stated, if you find this kind problem, please remember that if you load too many psybnc/eggdrop without USE it, you’ll be marked as channel fillers. Also, please change your gecos (realname) to avoid this kind akill.

Seperti judul diatas, jika Anda mengalami masalah tersebut, ingatlah bahwa jika Anda menjalankan banyak psybnc/eggdrop tanpa menggunakan itu, maka kamu akan dikenali sebagai channel fillers. Juga, untuk mengatasi tersebut, silahkan mengganti realname/nama lengkap/gecos di akun psybnc/bnc/eggdrop Anda.

Jika Anda mengalami masalah saat terkoneksi ke DALnet (terkait isu AKILL/KLINE) mohon mengirimkan email ke support @ twistedshells.com (tanpa spasi antara support dan twistedshells.com). Kami tidak mempunyai akses/hak untuk menghapus KLINE/AKILL tetapi yang bisa adalah staff DALnet. Kami akan bekerjasama dengan DALnet terkait masalah ini. Ingat selalu, bahwa CETING adalah untuk kesenangan.

we get notice from DALnet (irc.dal.net) related to some of you face problem: “Too many connection from your host” while connecting to DALnet. The update as an email below:

“Spread your users out over many vhosts on many DALnet servers”

Therefore, please always use dns pool of DALnet (irc.dal.net) while connecting to DALnet. From your psybnc account, please always addserver to round robin irc of DALnet. Type: /addserver irc.dal.net :6665
If same problem still occur, please send your email to support (at) twistedshells.com with complete error message.

Kami mendapat informasi dari DALnet mengenai masalah yang dihadapi oleh beberapa pelanggan kami, terkait dengan pesan error: “Too many connection from your host” saat melakukan koneksi IRC ke DALnet. Kami mendapat update dari staff DALnet, seperti dibawah ini:

“Sebarkan user-usermu menggunakan vhost yang ada ke banyak server DALnet”
Artinya, jangan banyak-banyak user menggunakan vhost yang sama ke server DALnet yang sama.
Untuk itu, kami sarankan gunakan selalu round robin IRC DALnet dengan menambahkan /addserver irc.dal.net :6665 di psybnc Anda. Atau jika menggunakan eggdrop atau bnc, selalu gunakan /server irc.dal.net :6665
